Looking for information on tennis in Cork, you've come to the right place.
This blog should help you find out what you would like to know about the tennis scene in Cork.
If there is anything you would like to see added to this blog please let me know.
I currently work in a sports shop in Cork city and come across people regularly who are interested in taking up tennis but think the equipment will be expensive and don't know where to go and play.
Well the equipment can be as cheap or as expensive as you want it to be and there are various ways of getting involved in tennis. There are 2 places in Cork that you can pay and play and these are Garryduff sports centre and the Sports Village (the old tennis village).
If you would like to get involved in a club you will be spoilt for choice in the Cork area as there is a huge range of clubs available.
I have details of these if required.
Tennis socially in Cork is very big, competitively isn't bad but the higher the level you play at the less competitions there are available for you.
Involved in all clubs now are very good coaching schemes whether it be group sessions for beginners or individual sessions for the more serious competitor, you will find it no problem getting lessons.
Well I hope you enjoy your game and let me know if there is anything I can help you with in getting started.
